Photo & label printers

A thermal label printer for a small business and a portable photo printer use different supplies. Start with what you print, its required size and the device that will send each job.

Choose print format before choosing a printer

Photo and label printers use different supplies and workflows. Decide whether you want a keepsake photo, a small organization label or a shipping label before comparing models.

  • Output and supplies

Compare the finished print size with your album, journal or label space. Check whether the exact printer needs an ink cartridge, a ribbon-and-paper set or compatible thermal labels.

  • Phone or computer workflow

Check the supported app, operating system and connection method. For shipping, confirm how your platform exports labels and the size it requires. A wireless claim alone does not prove that workflow.

  • Device or accessory

Read the full product title before opening a listing. This directory also contains a PM220 carrying case; a case-only item is not a printer. Confirm the box contents and replacement supplies.

For small journal photos, start with the Nelko PP01 buying guide. Before your next batch, check PP01 paper, ink and refill costs. To compare print formats, see photo printers for scrapbooking.

Questions before you choose

Can the same paper work in every small photo printer?

No. Match supplies to the exact printing system and model. For the PP01, use the linked paper-and-ink guide; do not substitute thermal label rolls or another photo printer’s refill pack.

Should you choose 2×3 or 4×6 photos for scrapbooking?

Start with the page layout and the space for captions. Small prints can fit journal spreads, while a larger print may suit an album page. Compare the actual image area and margins, not only a nominal paper size.
